Reach MCP Review: Let Your AI Run Your LinkedIn Prospecting (With You Still in Control)

Your LinkedIn leads are already there. Reach MCP just lets your AI go and get them—draft messages, chase warm contacts, and prep a week’s-worth of outreach—without you lifting a finger, until you say go.

Here’s the thing about LinkedIn prospecting: the platform is sitting on a mountain of signal that most people ignore. Who reacted to your last post. Who viewed your profile and never messaged. Which conversations went cold three weeks ago. That data is all right there. The only problem is doing something with it at scale, without spending half your day in a browser tab.

Reach MCP plugs your LinkedIn account directly into Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, n8n, or Make—and then you just ask for what you need in plain language. It finds the people, writes the messages, and waits for you to approve before anything gets sent. Nothing goes out without you seeing it first.

Here’s what it actually does, how to set it up step by step, what it costs, and where it has real limitations that you should know before signing up.

What Reach MCP Is (and What MCP Means)

MCP stands for Model Context Protocol, an open standard originally released by Anthropic that lets AI models connect to external tools and data sources in a consistent, platform-neutral way. Think of it as the universal adapter between your AI assistant and the apps it needs to do real work. GitHub, Notion, Slack, and dozens of other tools now have MCP servers. Reach MCP is one built specifically for LinkedIn.

Reach MCP is built on top of Kanbox, a LinkedIn automation and lead generation platform rated 4.8/5 on Capterra by 297 reviewers and used by more than 2,000 agencies and teams. The infrastructure handling your LinkedIn session, rate limits, and proxy routing is the same engine that’s processed over two million messages and three million connections for Kanbox customers.

The MCP layer on top is what makes it different: instead of logging into a separate dashboard to build campaigns, you stay in your AI assistant and describe what you want in natural language.

At a Glance

  • Best for: Sales reps, recruiters, solo founders, and content creators who live on LinkedIn and want AI to handle the outreach mechanics
  • Biggest strength: Human-approval-first design—nothing sends without your explicit go-ahead, which is what separates it from traditional spray-and-pray automation
  • Real limitation: LinkedIn’s Terms of Service technically prohibit third-party automation tools, and Reach MCP operates in this space—it uses rate limiting and residential proxies to reduce risk, but no tool can eliminate it entirely
  • Pricing model: Per LinkedIn account, with volume discounts for agencies
  • Free option: 7-day trial, no credit card required
  • Integrations: Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Cursor, n8n, Make, and any MCP-compatible client

The Six Ready-Made Playbooks

When you connect Reach MCP to Claude or ChatGPT, six playbooks appear as suggested actions. You don’t have to write any special prompts to get started—they’re there on day one.

Turn post reactions into leads. Ask: “Who reacted to my last LinkedIn posts? Draft a message for each of them.” Reach MCP reads likes and comments across your recent posts, checks who’s already a connection, and writes a personalised DM or connection invite for each person, referencing what they actually said. Then it shows you the full list as a numbered preview and waits for you to pick which ones to send.

Wake up cold conversations. Ask: “Find my conversations that went cold and draft a follow-up for each.” It scans your inbox, finds threads where you wrote last and got no reply in the past 7+ days, and drafts a short, context-aware follow-up in the language of the original conversation. Not a “just checking in.” A real one.

Turn profile viewers into leads. Ask: “Who viewed my profile recently, and which ones are worth contacting?” It pulls recent profile visitors, reads each profile for role, company, and seniority, and ranks them by how plausible they are as prospects. Note: this requires LinkedIn Premium.

Build a prospect list from one sentence. Ask: “Find me heads of sales at 50-200 person SaaS companies in France.” It translates that into Sales Navigator filters—resolving actual industry codes and region IDs rather than guessing—and returns real rows with personalised invites drafted for each. Requires Sales Navigator.

Reply to every comment. Ask: “Draft a reply to every comment on my recent LinkedIn posts.” It reads the post for context, then writes a response to each comment in the commenter’s language, adding something specific rather than recycling the same three words. It also skips comments that don’t warrant a reply.

Your LinkedIn week in review. Ask: “Give me my LinkedIn week in review.” Read-only. Aggregates your invitations, messages, profile visits, and pending conversations, flags which invitations are worth withdrawing, and ranks unread threads by urgency.

These six are a starting point. Behind the connector there are 52 LinkedIn tools your AI can call, so as you get comfortable you can ask for things that don’t map to any specific playbook name.

How to Set It Up: Step by Step

The Claude integration takes under ten minutes. Here’s exactly what you do.

  1. Sign up for Reach MCP. Go to app.reachmcp.com/signup. The 7-day trial requires no credit card. Choose whether you’re signing up as an individual or on the Builder plan (for agencies).
  2. Install the Chrome extension. Reach MCP works through a Chrome browser extension that connects to your existing LinkedIn session. No LinkedIn password is ever shared with Reach MCP—the extension reads your session cookie directly inside your browser. If you ever want to revoke access, uninstalling the extension cuts the connection immediately.
  3. Add the MCP server URL to Claude. In Claude’s settings, go to Connectors (or MCP servers depending on your Claude version) and add a new connector. Paste in the URL: https://app.reachmcp.com/mcp. Give it a name like “Reach MCP” or “LinkedIn.”
  4. Authorise the connection. Claude will open a Reach MCP sign-in page. Log in with your Reach MCP account credentials to complete the authorisation. No LinkedIn password goes into Claude at any point.
  5. Confirm it’s live. Once connected, you’ll see a hammer icon (the tool indicator) appear in your Claude chat input. That confirms the Reach MCP tools are loaded and ready to call.
  6. Run your first playbook. Type one of the six playbook prompts listed above, or just describe what you want in plain language. Reach MCP returns a numbered preview of everything it wants to send. You approve specific numbers, and only those go out.
  7. For n8n or Make. Instead of a connector URL, use an API key. The Reach MCP dashboard provides one under your account settings. Add it as an HTTP request node in n8n or a webhook module in Make.

If you’re on ChatGPT, the setup is nearly identical: add the connector URL inside the ChatGPT plugin or connector settings rather than Claude’s.

Pricing

Reach MCP prices per LinkedIn account, not per user seat, which is useful for teams where multiple people access the same dashboard.

PlanPriceBest For
Individual (1st account)$39/monthSolo professionals and founders
Individual (accounts 2-4)$29/account/monthSmall teams with a few LinkedIn accounts
Individual (accounts 5-20)$19/account/monthGrowing sales or recruiting teams
Individual (21+ accounts)$12/account/monthLarge agencies
Builder (1-4 accounts)$10/account/monthDevelopers building on the API
Builder (51+ accounts)$5/account/monthHigh-volume agency resellers

Everything is included in the base price: the six playbooks, full LinkedIn messaging (read and write), Sales Navigator search, connection management, comment replies, post scheduling, the MCP server, the REST API, a residential proxy, and rate-limit protection. There are no add-ons to unlock core functionality.

The Builder plan drops the onboarding screens and per-user support. It’s designed for teams building their own interface on top of the Reach MCP API, not for end-users who want the full product experience.

The Honest Limitations

LinkedIn’s Terms of Service technically prohibit third-party automation. This is the most important thing to know before you sign up, and it’s the thing most reviews skip. LinkedIn’s User Agreement prohibits tools that automate activity on the platform without explicit LinkedIn approval. Reach MCP operates using residential proxies, human-behavior simulation, and daily rate limits to stay within LinkedIn’s detection thresholds—but no external tool can guarantee that your account won’t be flagged. The risk is real, and it exists whether you use Reach MCP, any other LinkedIn automation tool, or anything in this category. Reach MCP’s FAQ acknowledges this directly on its website. If account safety is a hard constraint for you, this matters.

The Chrome extension is required. This is a browser-based tool, not a cloud-only solution. The extension needs to be running and your browser needs to be open for Reach MCP to connect to your LinkedIn session. If you’re looking for something that runs 24/7 in the background without your browser, that’s not how this one works.

Profile viewer and Sales Navigator playbooks need premium LinkedIn accounts. Two of the six playbooks require paid LinkedIn tiers. Profile viewer data is a LinkedIn Premium feature. Sales Navigator search requires a Sales Navigator subscription, which starts at around $99 per month separately from Reach MCP.

The approval step adds friction, intentionally. The preview-before-send design is a safety feature, but it means you can’t fully automate outreach in a set-and-forget way. Someone has to review and approve each batch. For some people that’s the point. For others, it’s the limitation.

Analytics are basic. The activity dashboard shows what your account did, but it’s not a full reporting layer. If you want to track conversion rates from connection request to meeting booked, you’ll need to manage that outside the tool.

Who Should Use This

Reach MCP is built for people who are already actively using LinkedIn for sales, recruiting, or personal brand building, and who find themselves doing the same manual tasks repeatedly: checking who liked a post, drafting follow-ups, and chasing cold threads.

It makes most sense for individual professionals, small sales teams, and agencies managing multiple LinkedIn accounts who want AI-drafted outreach with a human sign-off before anything goes live. The pricing model at $39 for a single account is reasonable compared to the stack it replaces: a LinkedIn automation tool, an export/scraping tool, and a scheduler can run $140 to $230 per month in separate subscriptions, per Reach MCP’s own comparison.

It’s probably not the right fit if you’re running a high-volume outbound operation and want fully automated sequences that fire without approval, if you don’t use Claude or ChatGPT as your primary AI assistant, or if your company has strict policies around third-party LinkedIn tools.

Alternatives Worth Knowing

  • Lemlist: Multichannel outreach tool covering LinkedIn, email, and cold calling. No MCP integration, but more established sequence automation for sales teams.
  • Waalaxy: LinkedIn and email outreach with built-in templates and sequences. Browser extension-based, similar LinkedIn ToS risk profile, no AI assistant integration.
  • Expandi: Cloud-based LinkedIn automation, no extension required, which means slightly different risk profile. Doesn’t integrate with AI assistants via MCP.
  • Native LinkedIn Sales Navigator: If you’re mostly doing outbound at scale, LinkedIn’s own platform is the most policy-compliant option, though significantly more expensive and without the AI-in-the-loop workflow Reach MCP provides.

Verdict

Reach MCP does something genuinely different from traditional LinkedIn automation tools: it puts an AI assistant in charge of drafting and an actual human in charge of sending. That single design decision makes it feel less like a spam machine and more like a capable research assistant who preps all your outreach and hands you the final sign-off.

The setup is fast, the playbooks are useful on day one, and the Kanbox infrastructure gives it more credibility than most new tools in this space. The $39 starting price is fair for what it replaces.

The important caveat stands: this is a third-party LinkedIn automation tool, and LinkedIn’s Terms of Service prohibit those. Reach MCP takes that seriously with rate limiting, proxies, and behavior simulation—but the risk exists and you should go in with your eyes open.

If you use Claude or ChatGPT regularly and you spend meaningful time on LinkedIn for sales, recruiting, or content, it’s worth a 7-day trial to see whether the AI-first workflow actually saves you time. You can make that call before entering a payment method.

If you found this useful, share it with someone in sales or recruiting who’s still spending three hours a week manually hunting for LinkedIn warm leads.
